Within a year, they built a 45-foot high cube shipping container home conversion on their developing 5-acre homestead with stunning river views. Impressively, their tiny container home itself cost only $20,000, due to the clever use of free and low-cost salvage and reclaimed materials. They secured a low-interest lot loan for the land. Now their monthly payment is still $300-400 less than renting a local one-bedroom!
